Sending Aloha Your Way

These are interesting times. A friend recently reminded me how important it is to keep sharing bits of beauty and joy in this world, so here I am, hoping to bring a smile to your face.

If you're like me, you're hyper aware of your environment these days. Creating environments that help us feel good is important. I've been hearing from many collectors about how much they're enjoying their art collection right now and I'm sincerely grateful to have had a role in it.

Below are a couple of my favorite reads on the topic and an introduction to a wonderful new artist I'm working with, Jim Powlan. I hope you enjoy!

We've been working to reimagine the art experiences we want to provide you when you're able to return. And we've been making ready. The final landscaping projects are underway at my new art oasis and we'll be ready to share it with you soon. Safe, private, and full of beauty. Plus, we're working on private studio tours. You know how much I love sharing the works and stories of local artists.

Looking forward to hearing from you and hope to see you again when the time is right.

Joyful, The Surprising Power of Ordinary Things to Create Extraordinary Happiness by Ingrid Fetell Lee

This is one of my all-time favorite books. After all, isn't art one of those seemingly ordinary things that creates extraordinary happiness when we discover works that speak directly to us? The book is well written, full of fascinating research, and even has a workbook section to use. I hope you enjoy it!

Shafto & Lynda McDaniel
