"My Crossings series incorporates bridge imagery into reimagined landscapes," shares Margo. "To me, bridges symbolize human connection, the passing of time, compromise, and life's journey. This specific piece features springtime Kobushi magnolia, jewel-like Kikusan, and newly unfolding momiji (maple leaves). These elements were photographed along a forested path on the way to Jingo-ji temple in northwest Kyoto in the spring of 2025. This Buddhist temple, built on the steep slopes of forested mountains, is famous for the clay discs visitors can purchase and throw into the valley below to release bad karma."
