"This series features staircases as a metaphor for ascension and exploring new journeys in life," shares Margo. "I lived in Hilo and went to the University of Hawai'i to study with printmaker Wayne Miyamoto, so I have a special place in my heart for historic downtown Hilo. This piece is of the historic Hilo post office, built in 1915, and also features a historic Hawaiian Airlines plane. If you have spent time in Hilo, you will notice the flight path to the airport is very close to town, and planes fly very low to the ground."
