Temporal Sculpture 003 | Silver Oak Branch | 92 Moments by Anders Carlson
Photograph on canvas with black float frame
50" h x 34" w
Limited edition 1 of 5
Hawaii-born photographer and videographer Anders Carlson is creating an ongoing photographic study of objects whose sculptural forms emerge only through motion and time. Inspired in part by Eadweard Muybridge’s pioneering motion studies from the 1800's—including his famous sequential photographs proving how a galloping horse moves through space—Anders' work explores forms that cannot be seen in a single instant, but only revealed through accumulated moments. Rooted in curiosity, play, and experimentation, his images transform fleeting action into strange, elegant, and ephemeral sculpture.
Currently displayed at the Mauna Lani, Auberge Resort, 2nd floor south hall.
