Feeling a bit bereft as “shelter in grace” orders first occurred in March 2020, a sketch for this painting appeared in my journal while I doodled and talked to a friend. I’d been wondering what I’d want to paint next. Suddenly this idea appeared. Eureka! Space & rest are needed for new ideas to appear. TRUST is always required. - Patrice Federspiel

Patrice Federspiel creates masterful watercolor paintings featuring a wide range of subject matter. Some works evoke the drama of Hawaii’s brightly colored flora and fauna, while others take you quietly within as you contemplate her inspiring abstracts. 

Patrice is a signature member, trustee, and past president of the Hawaii Watercolor Society and has received numerous awards for her work. She teaches workshops at the Honolulu Museum of Art and can often be found painting at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Hotel in Honolulu.
