Have you ever see an artwork that grabs you and speaks to your soul? I love that moment. It has happened to me with all the talented artists I choose to represent, like the first time I saw a piece titled Connections by Christina DeHoff. You can feel the Aloha!
I knew I had to reach out to her and invite her to be a part of the coffee table book I was working on at the time, Aloha Expressionism by Contemporary Hawaii Artists. And I'm happy to say she's a part of it and is the featured artist this month at the gallery. To celebrate the fact that our book won an Award of Excellence, we're having a very special Collectors Reception this month, and of course, I hope you'll join us!

Collectors Reception & Book Signing at the Gallery
featuring Christina DeHoff's visionary paintings and an Aloha Expressionism autographing party! Get your book signed by many of the featured artists during our special event, including Christina DeHoff, Kristie Fujiyama Kosmides, Kate & Will Jacobson, Marlene Louchheim, Mary Spears, Timothy Allan Shafto, and venture up to Wishard Gallery to get Harry Wishard's autograph, along with the book artists he represents. We're making a town-wide evening of it!
And at 6 pm, we'll be doing an informal talk story with Christina, hearing the inspiration behind her latest works.

Today and tomorrow, you can catch Christian Enns painting in plein air at the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel from 8 - 11 am! The festival is such an amazing event--I hope you get a chance to taking in some of the films, too!
