Regular price $3,900.00Acrylic on wood panel - framed
24" h x 24" w
Tracy graduated from the Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida with a BFA in 1986. During the spring of 1988, she made her first visit to Maui, leaving the crowds and heat of South Florida for a 3 month windsurfing vacation. Within a few days she knew Maui would be her new home. Living on the north shore, she explores the rugged landscapes and waters with her paintbrush, paddle board and OC1 (outrigger canoe).
Nature and the outdoor world are Tracy’s main inspiration for her calm and thoughtful works. The glimpse of a twisted uprooted tree, patterns formed by the wind, water currents and the ever inspiring waves provide almost endless creative material. Colors and patterns, often unexpected, combined with skillful rendering invite a path to viewing the natural world with a unique focus.
Tracy currently paints with oils, acrylics on canvas or wood panels and the occasional watercolor. She also works in many forms of original printmaking including hand pulled color lithographs, aquatint etching, woodblock and mono printing.

Reef Finds: Fin 25 by Mark Ley
Regular price $200.00Acrylic on paper
14" h x 11" w image matted at 20" h x 16" w
Growing up on Hawaii Island, Mark Ley has spent every spare moment in the ocean. Diving, surfing and exploring. When his daughter came along, he shared his love of the ocean with her and over the years, his ohana developed their own form of treasuring hunting. They scour the reefs and beaches, gathering the bits and pieces left behind by other ocean explorers. And surfboard fins, stuck in the reefs, became a favorite find.
But collecting them wasn’t enough.
These reclaimed surfboard fins are then used to create one-of-a-kind works of art. Using acrylic paints and carefully constructed color palettes, Mark dips the fin into the paint and then presses it onto paper—memorializing the board, the special time with his family, and cleaning the reefs—all while providing us with original works of abstract art.
“There’s an incredible scope of shapes and sizes of fins, each with its own story and genre,” shares Mark, and through his work we become ocean explorers ourselves.

"The Ti plant was brought to Hawaii by the Polynesians as a source of food," shares Patrice. "Then known as “Ki,” the plant was considered sacred to Lono, the Hawaiian God of Fertility and Laka the Goddess of Hula. The plant was used as a symbol of high rank and power. Because it was thought to have the ability to ward off evil spirits, it was often used as a border plant to protect homesteads. Today this graceful flowering plant comes in varieties of colors. It grows tall in gardens of homes and businesses throughout Hawai`i."
