A career as an interior designer fulfilled her creatively, but Janet Lipps has been a maker since childhood—inspired by the details of life. A collector of art and pottery, her passion for getting her hands back into clay was ignited when her husband brought her to Hawaii. Here, she discovered a remarkable community that sparked her creative growth. She even had a small gallery in Holualoa for a time. Now, she’s focused on making art as her living and enjoying every moment of it.
“My desire is to express a little of the joy and beauty of life on our marvelous earth,” says Janet. “To me, there is no better media to express this than a piece of earth itself.”
